If you’re making smaller portions of chicken, this recipe is ideal. You can purchase packets of breast meat or drumsticks and thighs and use only what you want, while freezing the rest for a future use.

The best toaster oven for this recipe is going to have heating capability of up to 450 degrees and be spacious enough to accommodate a 13 x 9 glass baking dish.

Ingredients

  • Chosen portions of chicken, at room temperature
  • 1 large egg
  • salt, pepper, and paprika to taste
  • 1 (or more) small bags of store brand potato chips
  • 1 cup all purpose flour

Preparation
Preheat your toaster oven to 400 degrees. In three dishes, arrange seasoned flour, egg (beaten), and crushed potato chips.

Dredge chicken pieces in flour, then egg, then coat with chips. Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour on a rack placed inside your glass baking dish.

Let stand for ten minutes before enjoying.

This recipe is for those who hate the mess of traditional fried chicken. It’s great for parties or a family meal.

Ingredients

  • 12 pieces of chicken-thighs and drumsticks are ideal
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 c flour
  • 1 c seasoned breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 c canola oil

Preparation
Preheat your toaster oven to 350 degrees. Dredge each chicken piece in seasoned flour, then the egg wash, then the breadcrumbs.

Place canola oil in a 13×9 glass baking dish, add chicken and bake for 30 minutes. Turn the chicken over and bake for another 30 minutes.

Once the chicken is done, remove it and drain it on paper towels, allowing to rest at least ten minutes before enjoying.

Oven fried chicken is delicious and actually surprisingly easy to make in most modern toaster ovens, provided they are spacious enough to accommodate a baking dish. Amaze your friends and family, while also eating incredibly well without the aid of an energy consuming conventional oven.
